Sibford Celebrates Strong Academic Results and Individual Success

Students at Sibford School are celebrating strong A Level and Level 3 results, with almost 60% of the year group achieving at least one A* or A grade (or equivalent), alongside excellent outcomes across a broad range of subjects.

As a proudly inclusive school, Sibford has always focused on the progress, achievement and ambitions of each individual. This year’s results demonstrate that this commitment sits firmly alongside high academic outcomes.

There was particular cause for celebration across a breadth of subject areas. 100% of grades in Textiles and Economics were at A*/A and 100% of grades in Religious Studies and Fine Art were at A*–B. Alongside this 67% of grades in Further Mathematics, Sociology and Product Design were at A*–B, while 60% of Mathematics grades were at A*–B, including 40% at A*/A.

Head Rebecca Evans said:

“We are immensely proud of this year group. Sibford is an inclusive school with high academic expectations, and these results demonstrate that those two things go hand in hand. Almost 60% of our students achieving at least one A or A* grade, or equivalent, is something worth celebrating, particularly alongside the breadth of strong subject results. But Results Day at Sibford will always be about individuals rather than simply percentages. Behind every grade is a young person with their own strengths and ambitions. For some, success means achieving the very highest grades; for others, it means exceeding expectations, overcoming barriers or securing the result they need for their chosen next step.

That individuality is reflected in the destinations of the Class of 2026. Students are progressing to universities across the country to study subjects including Medicine, Data Science, Biomedical Sciences, Economics, History, Sociology, Computer Science, Engineering, Artisan Food Production and the creative arts.

Destinations include Russell Group universities such as Exeter, Leeds, Nottingham and Sheffield, alongside specialist and modern universities selected for the strength of particular courses. Other students are taking different routes into their futures through apprenticeships, employment and further training.

Rebecca Evans added:

“There should never be a single definition of success at 18. Whether a young person is heading to university, beginning an apprenticeship, entering employment or pursuing a creative or technical ambition, what matters is that they leave Sibford ready and excited for their next step.

“I am enormously grateful to our staff and families for the support they have given this year group. Most importantly, congratulations to our students. We are incredibly proud of both what they have achieved and the young adults they have become.”

Sibford School wishes every member of the Class of 2026 the very best for the future.
