Bring It On – The Musical Debut
Staff and students at The Mount School have their pom-poms at the ready to cheer on Lilia in Year 11 as she prepares to star in ‘Bring it On – The Musical’ in November.
The popular Broadway musical is inspired by the classic noughties film of the same name. It tells the story of competitive cheerleaders, navigating their way through the trials and tribulations of high school competitive sports. It shows the surprising bonds that form from the sport.
Lilia will play the part of Kylar, a ditzy – yet likeable competitive cheerleader. Lilia has been dedicating her evenings 3 times a week to perfecting the role. The musical has been produced by York Stage – a local theatre company with a reputation for creating high-quality theatre. It stars the most talented performers from the York area.
The show promises explosive choreography, with a cast of vibrant characters at the forefront. It is accompanied by an electrifying contemporary soundtrack. It’s guaranteed to have the audience cheering along from their seats.
