Bootham student awarded top mark in Chemistry A-Level

Bootham School are absolutely delighted to announce that Charlie Thornton, who left them this summer after A-levels, has been awarded a top academic prize for chemistry.

Charlie was given the Salters’ advanced chemistry prize. The award honours him for being the top A-level student in the country for chemistry A level (June 2023).

All his hard work studying paid off, and Charlie achieved 4 grade A* in chemistry, physics, maths and further maths. He is now studying physical natural sciences at Selwyn College, Cambridge University. Charlie was invited down to the Salters’ Hall in London to receive a cheque and certificate.
