Bootham School Launches Free ICE Masterclass

Bootham School is inviting Year 5 and 6 students from across York to take part in an exciting new series of free academic ICE masterclasses designed to Inspire, Create, and Enrich young minds.
These masterclasses are taking place on Wednesday, 12th February, from 16:15 to 18:00. The ICE Masterclasses will offer children the chance to explore subjects beyond the standard curriculum. They’ll enjoy including Maths, Computer Science, Dance, Art, Philosophy, and Model United Nations.
Recognising the importance of curiosity and creative thinking in education, Bootham School has designed this initiative to encourage students to engage with new ideas, develop skills, and experience learning in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
“We believe that education should be about more than just exam results. It’s about igniting a lifelong love of learning” said James Ratcliffe, Deputy Head at Bootham School. “These ICE masterclasses will give young students the opportunity to explore fascinating subjects in a fun and engaging way, led by our expert teachers.”
Parents are also invited to attend and take a tour of the school and meet the Leadership Team. Visitors can discover more about Bootham’s distinctive approach to education.
Spaces for the ICE Masterclasses are limited. Families are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.
