Bootham School’s Autumn term grand production of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale will be performed on 25th and 26th November at 7.30 pm in the School Theatre.
Explaining the background to the play, Simon Benson, Bootham’s Head of Drama, said: “Composed around 1610-11, The Winter's Tale is one of Shakespeare's final plays. Often categorised as a romance or tragicomedy, danger, death and the power of evil are ever-present forces in the play – right up to the final scene. The production promises an excellent evening’s entertainment. Everyone is welcome and tickets are free at the door.”
