On the run for charity
An Oxfordshire teenager has been on the run for charity. Dominic Mills, a Sixth Form student at Sibford School near Banbury, has completed an ultra-marathon of 36 miles and, in doing so, raised more than £1,913 for Cystic Fibrosis … with the total still rising.
“One of my friends at Sibford suffers from Cystic Fibrosis and I wanted to help others who suffer from it too,” said Dominic.
“The run took me six- and-a-half hours so I ended up finishing just as it got dark which made it very special.”
Dominic’s ultra-marathon involved 2,609 feet of elevation. “It was tough, especially on the big hills, but I only had to stop once, at the halfway point to refill drinks. Other than that, I ran or walked all the way," said Dominic
